Honestly Analyzing Your Site
There are two keys to building a proper online marketing approach: your actual site and the marketing around it. Most importantly, the two have to work hand in hand.
First, let’s discuss the actual site. How you build it will determine whether you get visitors, whether they will return, and how long they will stay. This all comes down to the amount of value they believe they are gaining from the site.
Google and the rest of the search engines have a similar quest. They need to know that your site provides the user with the best experience before they rank you.
Additionally, your site has to be easy to find and easy to navigate.
Everything begins and ends with content. The content must be unique, original, genuine and engaging. Regurgitated or duplicated content that visitors can find somewhere else will never help your ranking. You will just fall into the “more of the same” category.
Taking content and making it relevant to what you do can help set your site as a valuable resource. Rather than simply reposting content, take the extra step to personalize it. “This is why this article is important.” “This is how I feel about it.” “This is the impact it will have on my business.” “This is how we are going to react.” “Here is some information that comes from our experience that we think you will find interesting.”
The best thing you can do as a company is share information. Not the proprietary stuff, but some tips, recommendations, or research that might help the reader. The more you share, the more your clients, potential clients and just curious visitors will come back for more, trust you more and consider doing business with you.
