In today’s social media world, it is essential to have a Google Plus Page, a Twitter feed, a Facebook Page, a Pinterest presence and a strong Linked-in presence.
Since everyone searches in different ways, you need to have a presence everywhere possible. It isn’t necessary to have to have a strong presence on every social media platform. I recommend that you create a strong presence on one, then divert other social media into your favored social media, i.e. your LinkedIn page.
In my estimation, PRWeb is one of the best and cheapest methods for sending out press releases. I recommend that a company send out 1-to-2 per month. Some businesses send out more, but it really depends on how much real news you have to report.
Other Press and Awards
No doubt you, your employees or your company has received awards over the years. These provide extremely relevant, unique content and should be announced through all the distribution channels at your disposal.
Earned media is when you have other credible sources write about you or your company. If the New York Times were to interview you or even xyz blog in your industry, this would create credibility and greatly increase both your visibility and search engine rankings.
Credible video, i.e. CNN or a video interview from a credible source posted on YouTube will do wonders.
It has to be unique and genuine however or it will backfire.
